Helen is a natural organizer but not much of a cook. She's become something of a community activist and loves to ski. You can win her heart in one of two ways: give her a cookie or, even better, give her dog a cookie.
Helen has been at the intersection of design, project management, and marketing since 1991, when she started her training in the design program at Crate & Barrel. After several years as a Store Designer, she left for a career in product development at Boston Warehouse, a $35 million housewares wholesaler, eventually becoming Director of Product Development. In 2004, she entered the world of energy efficiency and sustainable building as Marketing Manager at Cimetrics Inc.
Helen has a personal interest in promoting innovative approaches to environmental sustainability. She graduated from Harvard with honors in Visual and Environmental Studies.
Helen serves on the Cambridge Energy Smackdown team, the City of Cambridge Working Group on Dog Parks, the Massachusetts Partners in Parks Working Group, and the steering committee of the Cambridge Dog Owners' Group. She has also served as a buddy for AIDS Action Committee.
